Hi! I have taught many of the classes at Fieldwood.... Puppy Kindergarten, Movin’ On Up, Basic, CGC/TDI, Canine Cool, and Tricks & Games. I was also running the Off Leash Play Groups, which are my favorite! My goal is for people to enjoy day-to-day life with their dogs, allowing the dog to be a true member of the family. Sky, my golden/lab mix and I have tried a variety of classes and enjoyed every one of them.
It saddens me to use the past tense in the above statements as life has taken me on a new path. I moved to Washington D.C. in August 2007, to work at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. I am an Occupational Therapist, working to return our injured service members to the highest level of independence. I have a great helper in this endeavor; Sky often goes to work with me.

There are other therapy and service dogs working at Walter Reed, most of which were trained by various service dog organizations and then given to their owner/handler. Many ask which organization Sky came from. I am proud to say that I trained her, but not alone; I have Fieldwood to thank!
There are a multitude of dog schools in D.C., yet none compare to what you have on a back country road in Carlisle PA. It’s a place where you can go for training, support, adventure and lots of laughter. A place full of amazing trainers that love what they do and who they serve. No matter where my path takes me, I am honored and blessed to call Fieldwood home.
