My two dogs -- Lexi (Yellow Lab) and Belle (Belgian Malinois Mix) -- and I have explored almost every canine avenue, including freestyle, agility, and rally obedience. I feel it is important for an instructor to be knowledgeable in all areas that students might want to pursue.

In the past, I have volunteered with two different rescue groups: the Helen Krause Animal Foundation in Dillsburg, where I exercised the dogs and cleaned the kennels; and PAWS in Camp Hill, where I served as humane education director for a period of a year and also authored the "Ask Lexi" column on PAWS' web site to answer dog training questions.

My main goals are to help people learn more about their dogs, thereby keeping those dogs out of the overflowing shelters, and most of all, to have some fun along the way.
