I
have spent all of my life surrounded by dogs and horses. Although Fox
Hunting has been at the center of my activities, 13 years ago I purchased a
standard poodle named "Bear". It changed my life and it's
direction. His intelligence, willingness to learn, and Fieldwood's
wonderful instruction soon opened up the world of agility. Being practical
and living out in the country, Bear's hairstyle had to be modified and our picture shows the results.
Bear
is now retired but I have two other standard poodles; Caesar imported from Oslo, Norway and Rudy from Bear's bloodlines, to
continue my love of agility. Caesar is currently competing in the AKC Open
Division. I now try to help other people get started in agility by
teaching Introduction to Agility and Basic Level l at Fieldwood.

Fox hunting is still a part of my life (mucking 5 stalls a day and schooling
"would-be" hunters) but the bond with my dogs, attained through
agility, has enriched my life more than I thought possible. Come join us
at the Fieldwood Dog Training Center!
